Trying to catch up on some animated canon that I either never seen fully before, or haven't for a long time.

Sleeping Beauty is amazing. The entire film is absolutely gorgeous, with some of the best hand-drawn backgrounds ever. It's so cute and romantic too, and the sequence at the end against Maleficent is amazing.

Peter Pan is so racist my jaw dropped. I remember it being bad, but I'd forgotten just how bad it was. I don't know why everybody gives Song of the South so much shit compared to that. Aside from that, I can still see why people still love the movie. Lots of great adventurous moments and slapstick cartoon comedy.

I liked seeing the Mandalorian actually struggle and make mistakes in the second episode. I was really worried he was going to be written as this super badass that can do nothing wrong which would have been awful. We've already seen he can kick some serious ass, but also it's nice to see that he's not perfect, and even smaller stuff like watching him get annoyed and frustrated by the Jawas helps make him a more compelling character. Good stuff.

My one complaint, why does he keep leaving the baby just lying around everywhere? If this leads to a dumb "it gets kidnapped when it's out of his sight for a while" plot point I'm going to be disappointed.

I have a cat that was part of litter of strays found in a parking lot at work. All of them were separated and adopted by different people, but we agreed to bring them back to work occasionally so they could see each other.

The first couple of times we did it they seemed to have fun seeing each other. After that though they didn't seem to care at all. *shrug*

Honestly that trailer was actually pretty great, not just compared to the original. I mean, it looks cheesy and goofy and dumb, but I don't really have a problem with that. I think it'll still be terrible, but at least it made me smile.

I wonder how much of the movie they changed aside from the new CG on Sonic? That Green Hill Zone part wasn't in the original cut, and I'm betting some of the full CG sequences are probably new too. In the original script wasn't it supposed to be that Sonic had been in our world for years? It looks like in this cut it's been more recent, and I feel a lot of the "Sonic goofing around in our world before he's discovered" stuff is new. It'd be really interesting to know what all the differences are.

Barbarians are really bad in Civ 6 for some reason. You HAVE to be aggressive and kill scouts and destroy camps before they get out of hand. Be sure to have vanguard outside of your borders to kill scouts asap, if they "see" your civilization and report it back to their camp, you'll get a bunch more barbarians.

Sora is super unlikely, but I wouldn't say impossible. Square Enix is open to the idea, and while Disney is a hardliner they can compromise here and there. They're aware of how big Kingdom Hearts is to the video game community, and the series is being represented more outside of games lately (KH appeared on this year's D23 poster, and the characters made a return to Disney parks at this year's Oogie Boogie Bash). If Thanos can appear in Fortnite maybe there's a chance Sora can appear in Smash?
